Wes Anderson directed the adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox in 2009. The story follows the life of a gambling addict who studies meditation to read cards and uses the winnings to open several orphanages. Dahl aimed it at a slightly older audience than his children’s books. The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar was one of seven short stories published in a single collection in 1977. In 2009, he released the stop-motion animation film Fantastic Mr Fox. The adaptation will mark the second time that Anderson has brought a Roald Dahl story to life on the big screen.
